Welcome, hungry people! I’m Allie, the Hungry Editor. Let me start out by telling you a bit about myself and what this blog is all about: I am an editor, writer, and all-around grammar nit-picker. In the name of full disclosure, I shamelessly cook with butter, salt, oil, and a lot of carbs, but I am a strong believer in the motto “everything in moderation.” I have to admit that despite my obsession with perfection in my professional life (I will probably kick you for misusing “their” and “there”), I embrace the “dash-of-this-dash-of-that” freedom of rough estimations that cooking gives me. I also believe that delicious dishes don’t have to be difficult, complicated, or take hours of work. Without sacrificing flavor, I am a big fan of taking the grocery store short-cuts and multitasking whenever possible. Serving my friends and family an accessible but gourmet meal has become one of my truest joys.
